Cleany Stamp - For Kids

After a day full of adventure, Leo the little lion roams his kingdom. He plods around, without realising his tracks will soon save countless children. Leo lives in the desert, where there is nothing but bare trees, a few monkeys and miles of red sand for as far as the eye can see. It’s very hot, and every single one of Leo’s footprints is clearly visible in the dry sand.

Someone is also leaving footprints high above on a cloud at the top of the rainbow. Her fur is white as snow and her heart as tender as a flower. Her name is Unico. She is a unicorn, and nothing in the world makes her happier than playing outside.

Hidden in some coral, amongst lots of colourful fish and rocks, lives little Octo. He is an octopus, and, like the other two, he loves big adventures. He is most fond of floating on his back through the deep blue sea, and enjoys the company of the many other fish and sea-dwellers who play with him. Octo is a curious octopus, and he knows a lot about the underwater world. He sometimes also wonders what it would be like to live on land. Like Leo, or in the sky, like Unico.

But despite how different they are, all three one day became inseparable friends. They’re the Cleanies! And soon the Cleanies won’t just be leaving their footprints in their own worlds; they’ll be doing it to help many children too.

Every night, just before going to sleep, they wash their hands and feet, brush their teeth and then head off into dreamland. Because no one is allowed in bed with dirty paws. They’re tired from all their adventures and experiences from the day.

Unico is all snuggled up under a fluffy cloud blanket, Leo lies down gently under a tree, his mane blowing in the light breeze, and Octo settles down into his dark cave, hidden between the coral and colourful plants. All three now listen intently to the bedtime story told by the famous Turta. Turta is a turtle who watches over every living creature in the entire universe. She is very clever, but there’s one story that preoccupies her day in, day out.

And it is this story that Turta now tells the animal children:

‘There are lots of little children in the world. They’re human children, and they all like playing just as much as you do. Just like you, they also enjoy getting dirty in the mud, shaking hands and romping around outdoors the whole day. But unfortunately, there’s something we can’t see, which can make them sick. It’s dirt, bacteria and viruses that no one knows are there. We can’t hear them. We can’t see them. But they’re there on our hands, and, unfortunately, they can sometimes make us very sick. If only there were someone who could stop these nasty illnesses.‘

But who?
Someone would have to show them how to protect against these stupid bacteria.

‘Just true heroes.’
All animal children naturally want to help, and would really love to be the heroes that protect the human children from illnesses.
Suddenly, a big bright shooting star lights up the night sky. It’s like a dream, except it’s really happening. They all get the sense that they have been transformed into heroes tonight, and that something big is going to change the world. Unico sees the yellow shooting-star dust settling next to her on the cloud, and has the same thoughts as Leo and Octo.

‘We’re the Cleanies, and from now and forever more, we’ll be protecting all the children of the world’, Unico calls out excitedly to Leo and Octo, who dance around in agreement.
‘With our paw prints, we’ll show the children that they always need to wash their hands thoroughly!’ ‘Yes! With our help, every child should be able to protect themselves and others’, adds Octo.

To ensure the Cleanies themselves never forget to wash their hands, they leave a print on each other’s paws.
‘Yes! Cool, this mark needs to be washed away every night before going to sleep, because that way we and our parents can see that our hands and paws really are clean, and that the stupid viruses and bacteria haven’t made us and others sick.’

And so it was that the Cleanies became heroes, and have sworn to look out for you and all human children forever more.
